Bengaluru: Scania Commercial Vehicles India Pvt. Ltd. has strengthened its growth strategy with the appointment of GMMCO Limited, a CK Birla Group company, as its new authorized dealer partner for Northern, Eastern, and Central India.

The collaboration marks a significant milestone in Scania India roadmap, expanding regional coverage and driving growth across all business segments.

GMMCO to Strengthen Scania India Growth Strategy Across Key Regions

Under the new dealership structure, GMMCO will oversee sales and service operations for projects across Northern, Eastern, and Central India, while PPS Motors will continue representing Scania in Southern and Western regions.

This strategic territorial distribution ensures seamless national coverage, enhanced customer service, and faster response times, supporting Scania’s mission to elevate service excellence and operational agility.

Transition to a Fully Dealer-Driven Ecosystem

The partnership with GMMCO signifies Scania’s transition from a direct sales model to a fully dealer-driven business ecosystem.

Going forward, Scania will focus on product innovation, planning, and lead generation, while its dealers will independently manage the entire sales and service process, including invoicing, documentation, aftermarket operations, demo fleets, and inventory.

This decentralized structure is designed to boost accountability, regional responsiveness, and customer satisfaction through localized expertise and service excellence.
